FizzBuzz
Personal goals
To see if could get an old english game from a verbal game into a PC game
To get to know how Game Maker 2 works
FizzBuzz is personally the game that I am least proud of because of the looks that it is low effort game. but under the hood there is a bunch of improvements that I have made in the way how I code.
3, 5, 15 and the multiplactions of them so hard isn’t it?
So why did I make it
When I first started my study at the Hanze University of Applied Science. I was relatively new to coding. The only code I knew was GML. So when I saw a YouTube video by Tom Scott that he had to do this as a programming exercise, I thought he also wanted to try this and see if it worked. And well, after a few weeks of trying out different ways to code the game, I found a form that worked. Then I started making a fundamental UI. But after that, my designer instinct kicked in, and I was like, if you are doing this on your, you can go on infinitly. That is when I decided to add a timer. I tested it out with my roommates, and they said it was too long, so I shortened it. as of writing(2022), this was four years ago. And looking back at it, I have grown a lot with UI and how I present my games. So I am not proud of it, but it is still an essential aspect of my game developer journey.
