Description
This project was part of the mandatory internship period of my education, during which I served as the project lead, lead designer, and programmer at 038 Games. It was developed in collaboration with the PMT program at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences. The objective of this project was to help individuals manage stress effectively. Our client, Mr. Erik Jumelet-Boom, tasked us with creating a game designed to induce stress while enabling him to control the experience.
In the end, we developed a small mission set in space where players must unlock a chest and activate a “Space Spray” to prevent their dome on Mars from exploding. After conducting playtests, we observed that even the PMT students experienced stress during gameplay. They also noted the differences in intensity when I adjusted the experience.
Overall, the project was a success, thanks to the collaboration with my project group at 038 Games and the guidance of Mr. Jumelet-Boom.
