Description
The Maze originated as a modest undertaking during my Rapid Prototyping course, but its potential sparked collaboration with my friend Daan Rekker. With Daan's artistic talents and my expertise in programming and level design.
Tasked with escaping a pursuing monster, players navigate through intricately designed levels to reach safety. While we utilized assets from a Synty pack for elements like the castle and trees, Daan's contribution shone in crafting the monster and its animations. On my end, I handled all programming aspects, including the implementation of a simple AI system for the monster and an audio manager, except for the movement mechanics.
The Maze stands as a testament to our collaborative efforts, blending artistry with technical prowess to deliver an immersive and thrilling gaming experience. From its humble beginnings in a classroom setting to its evolution into a passion project. That is still in the works today!
