Personal goals

  • To make a fully function game

  • Try to incorperate Feedback from playtesters

  • Trying to pass the level design elective

LabRunner was the first solo 3D Project that I have made.

The goal for this game is to get to the end as quick as possible.

This game was first started in may 2021. but eventaully it turned into a small passion project of mine the goal for this game is to get to the end as quickly as possible.

You play a bean trying to survive this experiment!

External goals

The first goal for this game was for me to create a 3d game solo without the help of a group. I have only made 2d games so far, but I wanted to make a 3d game, so this game was the perfect opportunity. There was also a game that I enjoyed the movement in that game was, Titanfall 2, and I wanted to try to mimic the movement of the game. The other one is that I wanted to have a proper set piece for my portfolio. That I can show companies that I can make a level in a semi-linear game. Furthermore, I also wanted to make a game in unity, try to optimise it, and work on a system that is not as strong as my computer.

Playtesting

For this project, I have also done several playtesting. I did the playtest because I had two different sizes of the map, and I wanted to know what the players of my game would prefer. So I asked four different people to play the game and let me watch with them through discord, or they could use my laptop for playtesting. The results concluded that the players prefer the small map more than the big map.

I also wanted to know how the game would perform on other people's computers, and they told me that it worked fantastically on their computers.

You can try out this game here!

Keep in mind there is only 1 playable level right now in this build!
